21 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING

“When you fast…” — Matthew 6:16

As we begin a new year, our church sets aside 21 days to seek God together through prayer and fasting. Fasting is not about striving or performance, but about dependence—intentionally creating space to listen for God’s voice and align our hearts with His purposes. Throughout Scripture, fasting is connected to prayer, humility, and renewal, reminding us that our deepest need is found not in what we consume, but in the God we trust. While fasting often includes food, it can also mean laying aside other daily comforts or distractions—such as media, entertainment, or habits that compete for our attention. During this season, individuals and families are encouraged to participate in a way that fits their season of life, trusting that as we draw near to God, He will meet us with fresh faith, clarity, and renewed focus.
